By being a medical trial volunteer you will be helping in the research of new medicines and your involvement is essential for the advancement of possible treatments and remedies.
In order to get a license for a new medicine, the pharmaceutic company who want to generate it must initially conduct research into the medicine.
This study involves recruiting you, a healthy volunteer, to participate in the medical trial within a hospital environment so that the results of the medication can be closely monitored.
The type of medication we are exploring will decide your suitability to participate, and in order to check your health and wellness, we will ask you to give your permission for us to get in touch with your family doctor and ask you in for a screening visit before participating.
In the course of this visit our warm and friendly staff members will take your healthcare history, measure your heart activity (ECG) and blood pressure, and take a small sample of blood and urine to make sure your liver and kidneys are working correctly. Just think of it as going to your DOCTOR for a full medical test. If you pass the medical test, you may be invited to return for the clinical trial usually three days to one week later. Each trial is different; therefore the person requirements for you will be different. What we can assure is that you will be monitored by the most skilled staff who are devoted to maintaining your well-being here.
